Empties #2

Back again with a post on some used up products - I actually have more than this but dont want to write a huge post as I know I like short & sweet posts. To the point I guess.

1. Nspa mum to be moisturising bump butter - This was a gift from a friend & it came in a set with an oil & a shower gel so Im afraid I dont know the price. This is absolutely divine, its thick & nourishing with a floral scent. I am 39 weeks pregnant now & most days moisturising day & night so do get through products quickly. I had stocked up on lots of different products but if I hadnt I would of gone and repurchased this. I believe its from Asda stores.

2. bareMinerals original in medium beige around £22.50 - I have used this foundation on and off for years now. Its great because you can use a light dusting for the day time but for a night out you can build up such good coverage. It makes my skin look flawless in pictures. Also on nights out its great because when taking pictures with flash it doesnt turn you in to a ghost! I use a big face brush from one of the bareminerals kits and have to say the more the brush has beeb used the better. I also do bridal makeup and have used this foundation on so many - and so many different skin types.

3. Garnier Soothing 2 in 1 make-up remover - Really enjoyed this product. Removes eye makeup really well - sometimes Id use a little over my face but would still use a foaming cleanser and water after just to make sure its all removed. You can pick this product up in most stores so convinent too!

4. Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream - This came in a gift when I picked up some items. I would just use it in the shower as and when I felt like my skin needed it. The grains are quite small but do a good job - I would use it mainly round my nose and chin when I felt it was a little dry and built up. Im quite lucky with my skin as its pretty normal - this just helped to bring back some radiance.

5. Clarins One step facial Cleaner with Orange Extract £14.95 on allbeauty.com This product is two parts - 1 water 1 oil. So before you use it you shake it - you then put on cotton wool and wipe over the skin - you then turn the cotton wool over and use the other side. As much as I love these kinds of cleansers, its more of a morning freshen up for me rather than a removing makeup job in the evening.

6. Kérastase Elixir Kultime - My hair dresser recommended me this - she uses it on me when I go in to the salon. Firstly the smell is utterly divine - its like one of the Chanel fragrances. People actually comment when I use this as it makes your hair smell SO good! Secondly its amazing - my hair is always so glossy when I use this. I use maybe two pumps through the lengths of my hair and blow dry - then a teeny tiny amount once its straightened just to polish off the ends. This is a must have for me and I need to repurchase asap. I would recommend speaking to the girls in a salob before buying any of the products as it can be a little confusing but I know this works wonders for me!

So this turned out to be quite a long pist - hope you enjoyed it and found something useful.

Next post will be about some Rimmel products I have recently picked up.

Thanks for reading,

Camera Roll

I have to laugh when I look through my camera roll... Its pretty much ALL FOOD! Ok I am 36 weeks pregnant and indulging a little more than I should... But Ive always loved food! Here is a round up of some of my most recent pictures...

1. Wispa Hot Chocolate and a giant marshmallow... The hot Choc is amazing, I use full fat milk! And the mallows my mums boss picked me up from Tesco before bonfire night. She knows me well!

2. Hot cross buns and butter. My fiancé got us these Friday for a lush start to our saturday morning. ADORE!

3. First mince pie of the year... If you follow me on twitter @emilycambrey you would have seen me tweeting like a crazy lady about mince pies yesterday. Lucky for me Adam came home with them last night. Evening made!

4. Mac & Cheese - Now I am off on mat leave Ive been trying to find my feet in the kitchen. I am not the best cook and I know this is an easy dish... Baby steps for me. Anyway add bacon its lush. Also i realise now this could of fed 8!

5. Candles and teacups! Every night now I light candles. Its just the best time of year to snuggle up in the warm.

6. Merryteaser Reindeer OH MY DAYS. Why are these so small. I could eat about 100 in one sitting. They are just the best. If you haven't had one yet I suggest you get down the shops now...!

Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar review

This bubble bar is heaven. It smells amazing, infact when I got it I put the paper bag straight in to my handbag and my handbag still smells amazing.

I am trying to have some 'me time' before the baby comes (21days to go!) and thought what better way to relax than with a delcious candy mountain bubble bar.

This bar smells like sweets, gives off gorgeous soft bubbles and my skin feels lovely and soft after. I want to try more of the Lush christmas range - Ive asked for some on my Christmas list.

Whilst in the bath I decided to have a read of a new book that a friend has lent me. Before I go to sleep by S J Watson. After reading the first 50 pages I am hooked. Its really quite sad and scary as everyday Christine Lucas wakes up she doesnt know where she is. She had an accident in her late twenties & is an amnesiac. Anyway thats all I know for now! Maybe I should do a review when I am finished!

Please recommend any christmas lush products I should try!

My Bump Products!

Ok so I am now 29 weeks pregnant and have been using everything and anything I can get my hands on to smoother on to my bump. I don't want to get stretch marks but I think its highly likely I will! So far none, but everyone says once baby arrives and your tummy shrinks they appear! Anyway here is a round up of what Ive been using!

Soap&Glory's Righteous Butter - love this - smells very floral & very strong. Its nice and thick too. With all of these products mentioned I use in the morning and evening!

Body Shops Cocoa Butter - THE SMELL! This stuff is UH-MAZING. I literally coat this on. so thick & creamy, I got this as a freebie when I got a body shop loyaly card so its only dinky but will repurchase!

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Crème Soufflé - this is like a whipped muller corner! Haha! Its delicious! So fresh and refreshing. My little sister got me this along with the relaxing candle and they really are beautiful products.

Coconut Oil from Superdrug. This is a fave! I use it in my hair as well as my bump & hips. It makes my legs silky smoothe too. My skin feels so nourished when I use this!

Clarins Moisture-Rich body lotion - with Shea Butter. Beautiful beautiful body lotion, really thick but still soaks in quickly leaving my skin so so soft. Everyone should try this once - its a little expensive for a body lotion but maybe as a treat!

Clarins Bust Beauty Firming Lotion - This is a leftover salon size from when I used to work for this beautiful company. This is nice and lightweight, soaks in quickly and smells pleasant. I wonder how good it really is, but it all helps at the end of the day.

Clarins Tonic - you can get a moisturise & shower / bath tonic with this scent and I highly recommend it, I find the smell ao soothing and relaxing. I used to get through bottles and bottles of the bath and shower tonic. Anyway this oil is such a treat - I used to have some ladies that would buy this from me and didnt get a single stretch mark through pregnancy! So as you can guess I am using lashings of this! Again this is a salon size and the normal product comes in a glass bottle. All pregnany ladies should try this!!!

Bio Oil - Doesnt everyone use this?! Its a reasonable price, does the job and smells amazing. This is what I used this morning. The only thing that annoys me is that I have to wait ages before dressing! So just imagine a heavily pregnant lady swaying around her room waiting to get dressed! Hahaha!

If anyone has any recommendations on any pregnancy related products please let me know! Or any advice at all!

Thanks for reading, I know this isnt for everyone!

Love,

Emily

Empties #1

So I seem to get through my fair share of products and have started collecting them up to write reviews on them.

I always love reading how other people get on with products, obviously we all have different skin & things that may work for some dont work for others. But I do enjoy reading up on products before trying them out myself!

1. Garnier Fresh Make-Up Remover £3.45 - I get through so much eye makeup remover...! I hardly ever buy the same one twice as I like to see what is out there! I found this was ok to use - I prefer an oily one to be honest as I feel like it doesnt rub the delicate eye area as much. This wasnt amazing in my eyes - see what Ive done there! So I wouldnt repurchase it. I love the fresh scent of it - contains apple extract.

2. Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream spf30 - I got this free when I went in to purchase a few things from Clinique. I found this very thick - to thick to blend in to my skin. It was also quite dark so not being able to blend it well in to the skin wasnt ideal. I wouldnt purchase this product and an thankful I got to try it out to prove this!

3. Lancôme Bi-Facil Non oily for sensitive eyes - I got this in a pack with a Lancôme mascara and eyeliner in a gift from a friend. I must say I love it! It removed my eye makeup quickly and effectively. I felt like I didnt need to rub at my eyes too long which is a bonus as noone wants those pesky dreaded lines around the eyes! To buy a full size one from www.feelunique.com is £18.90 which I feel is a little steep for an eye makeup remover. If I was feeling flush then maybe I would treat myself!

4. Hask Argan Oil - Healing shine hair treatment - It states added keratin for smoothness, I cant say I noticed much of a difference when blow drying my hair with this. However the smell is divine... It smells like Terrys Chocolate Orange. YUM. This was £1 in primark & I picked it up on a whim. I would probably just buy this again to scent my hair like chocolate!

5. Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make - up Remover. I love this because its part water part oil. You mix it together and put it on cotton wool. The scent isnt the best but it isnt unpleasant. I felt it did an ok job. £3.59 @ www.boots.com

6. Clarins Water Comfort One - Step cleanser - I used to work for Clarins so I have a lot of their products and am very fond if them and probably quite biased! All of their products smell amazing and do exactly what they say on the package. This has been a holly grail cleanser for me for years. Its fast and effective. I use it different all the time - for example I may do a scrub and then use this on some cotton after to get that really clean feeling. I used it in the morning after splashing my face with water to prep before makeup. I just love the smell - peaches - and I just love Clarins! For a retail size of 100ml it it £20 on www.clarins.co.uk  Try it!

7. Batiste Dry Shampoo a hint of colour medium & brunette - This stuff is amazing. I always have a can and then another on back up! I wash my hair every four days or so& this dry shampoo is just anazing when I need a little boost. If my hair is looking slightly greasy (I hate that word) I just spritz this in to my roots and massage in with my finger tips and wahlaa I am ready to go. I also love the fact its tinted now - I used to use the normal one and would spend ages getting rid of the grey! This is a must have product for me - especially on lazy top knot bun days!

8. L'Oréal crystal gloss techniart - This claims to be a delicate finishing spray that provides hair with long lasting shine - also states that its anti humidity & anti frizz. I ended up buying this because my hair dresser always spritzed me with it after a cut. The only catch with this is if you over do it - its because it can make my hair a little flat. Overall though I loved it! Sad its all gone & may repurchase. I cant remember exactly how much I paid, around £10 I believe.

9. Clarins Daily Energizer Wake - up Booster with red currant, green coffe & white tea extracts - Ohh another Clarins product what a surprise! You may notice a theme with me & Clarins! This is part of their young skin range. It smells divine! I would use this first thing in the mornjng on cotton wool to awaken my skin. I adore it & my only fault with it, is that there isnt enough in it! 125ml goes quickly.. Make one in double the size Clarins! £16.50 @ www.clarins.co.uk

10. Sure Women Clear Aqua Crystal - I wasnt sure if this was really relevant in a beauty post but I thought hey why not! We all need it & use it & this stuff is my fave! I always always always buy this. Its alcohol free, smells lush, never lets me down, doesnt go chalky on the skin & just works for me!

11. Vaseline essential Moisture normal to dry skin with vitamins e&a - Ive finally finished this. Im terrible for having LOADS of body lotions & never finishing one...! This is very light weight, soaks in easily, smells lovely & fresh & seems to do the job. My only critic is that its quite runny - although I liked how quickly it would absorb in to my skin. I have used this on various mornings & evenings on my ever growing bump... No stretch marks yet! I believe I paid about £3.00 but that was awhile ago!

So thats it! My first empties post! Let me know what you think & I promise to start posting more often!

Lots of Love,

Emily

Summer time Nails

Sunday night spent painting my nails multicoloured because I couldn't pick just one colour! I love the outcome.. And I just love Barry M polishes!

I used;
030 Boots limited edition, (purple)
317 Blue moon (duck egg blue)
304 Mint Green
309 Name has rubbed off I am afraid.

I have had these polishes for ages, they last so well and never go gloopy!

What do you think?! What colours do you use?

A beautiful trip to Scotland

I have just got back from a beautiful weekend away in Scotland with my loved ones. My Mum is from Scotland and wanted me to see where she grew up. We stayed in Ballater, it is so picturesque I want to live there!

Here is a photo diary of some of the best bits! We walked, we climbed, we sang, we laughed, we ate, we drank & we are some more! I love exploring places and this was the most perfect little get away!

Storage idea!

I picked up this cute little jar with a heart on it from Dunelm Mill about two months ago for £6.99. At the time I didnt really have a reason for buying it but couldnt put it back so knew it would come in handy sometime! Well I have seen on many different storage idea pin boards (I am obsessed with Pinterest) cute little pots like this so I found a use for my jar!

What do you think? Cute huh?!

How do you store your makeup and beauty bits?

Lush

So my lovely friend Jenny from lilybirdy.blogspot.com recently got me a little treat from Lush, she got me the gorgeous rose bubble bar! I do not get on with bath bombs at all however this was gorgeous, I didnt feel like my skin was dried out like I normally do and it wasn't as sickly smelling as so many Lush products I have tried.

I had a perfect evening of relaxing in the bath, reading my favourite author Tess Geritsen and being perved on by my little cat Ernie! Here are some pictures of the bath bomb, bath, bubbles, kitty.. Pervy kitty! Ha!

What do you recommend from Lush?

Mothers Day & Mumma's Birthday!

So last Sunday was obviously Mothering Sunday and once again my Mums Birthday fell on that day too! So back in Jan/Feb time I booked afternoon tea for us at The Vanbrugh House Hotel down St Michael's Street in Oxford! It was an absolute bargain, £19 to pay but worth £46 I believe.

It was absolutely adorable, when we arrived we were warmly welcomed my the lovely ladies who showed us to our seats. They then came out with a red rose and a huge slab of toffee cake for my Mum as we mentioned it was her Birthday! We then had a gigantic glass of processco each and browsed the Tea menu. I let Mum pick as I still dont really drink hot drinks... However tried both teas and was pleasantly surprised! After sipping our glasses of prosseco for a little while out came a adorable cake tier stand! We had a mixture of cute little sarnies, scones cream & Jam, and different cakes to feast on! The best part for me was the shot glass of chocolate mousse with Strawberries!

After we had quite literally stuffed ourselves.. We left so much too!! We had a mooch around Oxford for a few hours and spent most of our time enjoying each others company and laughing. I wanted to share this with you as it was just such a perfect day and I want to be able to look back and remember it!

This weekend has been absolutely lovely too, I have the best friends and family!

Have a great day,

Emily

Cocoa Brown Review

I picked up these two little gems from Primark this week as I had heard some really good reviews about it. So firstly Cocoa Brown is £6 a bottle in Primark which if it lives up to its reviews is a massive bonus. Secondly I know Millie Mackintosh is a fan, this is always going to give you confidence in a product when someone else is raving about it.

So after the usual prepping of shaving, exfoliating and scrubbing last night I had another shower this morning and whipped out my trusty tanning mitt! I love a tan, I personally feel so much better in my skin when I have a glow. The bottle states 'Beautiful floral Tahitian Gardenia Scent' and it does not disappoint, I was pleasantly surprised with the smell. Lots of tans I have previously used have such a strong distinct smell which hangs around for ages.

The mousse is a golden brown like colour, it feels lovely on the skin and applies evenly. I like that you can see where your putting it, and also that its 'moisturing and kind enough to be used on both face and body'. Im really impressed with the colour, its a gorgeous deep brown, true to the colour I would naturally go in the sun. I left it for over three hours before showering as I would normally sleep in it so the colour pay off is perfect. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a tan junkie like myself.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend, the sun makes such a difference to mine!

House Update

Hello lovely people!

So we moved in to our new house 7 weeks ago, and are working our way round getting things done. So far the living room has been painted, and the bedroom. We have a list as long as both of our arms but slowly and surely we are crossing things off. Its crazy how much work there is to do, and really most of it just comes down to us and our personal taste.

The house is in lovely condition, no need to gut it or anything, just put our stamp on it. We moved from a 1 bedroom flat with barely any furniture to a 3 bed detached... Buying furniture has been really fun! I have taken a couple of pictures of things I have been doing/buying recently however I would like to do a house update post every now and then so more to come!

Have a lovely weekend,

Love

Beauty would you rather TAG

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

I would have to say palettes and eyeshadows because I love my lipsticks, lipglosses, liners, mascaras & eyeliners. Answering this is actually stressing me out...! I may have made the wrong decision!!!

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Never cut it again, I love long hair!

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Depends if I am tanned or not. I love coral cheeks with a tan & pink without.

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

Currently it would be clothes because Ive recently had a huge clear out! Any other time would 100% be makeup!

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

Eyeliner as lipstick. Could you imagine using lipstick on your eyes! Ha!

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

MAC, I have never set foot in a Sephora. Someone take me!

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

This question is also stressing me out!! I just cant answer... Ahhh! Imagine if this was for real, I would be having a breakdown.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

Winter clothes in Summer because I hate being cold! My feet are always freezing!

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Bright!

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

Favourite lip product as I cant live without Mascara!

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

A messy bun-its always in a messy bun!

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

Never use lipgloss because I can still wear lipstick!!

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

Both would look bloody ridiculous!!! I'd say sharpie HA! I would go carefully with it...!

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

WITHOUT NAIL POLISH!!!

Thanks for reading!

Lots of love,

Emily

Spring is finally here :)

What a beautiful weekend it has been! The sun has finally come out to play and its got me so excited for whats to come. I dont know about you but I definately suffer in the winter months and crave the summer. I have had a lovely weekend and am just sat snuggled up thinking about it. Yesterday I literally gutted my wardrobe with the help of my friend Jenny, I had so much stuff in there I never  wear and it feels so good to just have pieces I wear. Its also inspired me to find some new spring/summer pieces! We ended up having a chinese together and putting the world to rights.

Today has been another lovely day, I walked Todd in the beautiful sunshine. Finally used the clothes line and hung out laundry, makes me quite happy! Then I hit the gym and worked my socks off, which instantly lifts my mood. Once I got home Adam txt to say he was 25mins away and wanted to take me out for lunch so we headed to Burford for milkshakes and food. We ended up in the sweetie shop and got cola cubes and white mice.

I am now chilling out watching breaking bad and relaxing for the evening. Hope you have a lovely Sunday evening.

Lots of love,

Emily
